National Neighbourhood Health Implementation Programme
At its heart, Neighbourhood Health is about bringing care closer to where people live, strengthening prevention, and making sure services are joined up across the NHS, local government, social care, and the voluntary sector.

The Ambition
Neighbourhood Health is a radical shift in how we approach health and care, centred around neighbourhood working. Our ambition is to create healthier, more resilient communities where people of all ages can live active, independent lives for as long as possible.
This movement is part of the National Neighbourhood Health Implementation Programme (NNHIP), brought to you in partnership with Department of Health and Social Care, NHS England, Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit, PPL, National Association of Primary Care, NHS Confederation, The Strategy Unit and NHS Horizons.
A Shared Movement
Neighbourhood Health is more than a programme. It is a shared movement for change. This movement is about working differently. It creates the space for collaboration and trust, drawing on lived experience to shape solutions that really matter. By connecting individuals, professionals, communities, and local organisations, it turns shared learning into collective action.
